Meanwhile, Jamaat Chief and opposition leader in the parliament, Shafiqur Rahman, has criticized the government over ongoing energy crisis, claiming, there is a stark disconnect between official statements and ground reality.
Speaking at a seminar in the capital today, he remarked that the government speak as if the country is “floating on oil,” while ordinary citizens continue to face shortages.
Addressing a seminar at the Krishibid Institution Bangladesh on the impact of the global energy crisis on agriculture, he also accused those in power are operating syndicates that worsen the situation.
He alleged, the country is being run through manipulation and mismanagement, urging the government to learn from past administrations.
He also expressed disappointment, stating that the parliament has yet to deliver meaningful benefits for the people.
