LGRD Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has told in the Parliament that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's visit to China has further strengthened bilateral relations between Bangladesh and China.
He said, several agreements were concluded during the visit, adding that 17 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed with the People's Republic of China.
At the outset of the budget session, which began at around 11 am under the chairmanship of Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir placed a motion of thanks on the Prime Minister's visit.
Meanwhile, Endorsing the government's motion of thanks, Opposition Leader Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, Bangladesh's relations with other nations should be founded on justice and equality.
