Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has arrived in Moulvibazar, known as the land of tea, to join the Family Card distribution programme. He reached Sylhet by air from Dhaka in the morning before traveling to Sreemangal by road.
After arriving in Sreemangal, the Prime Minister joined the Family Card distribution event and is scheduled to address a civic gathering.
He will distribute the cards at Victoria High School field in Sreemangal and later at Moulvibazar Government High School field in the district headquarters.
A festive atmosphere has been created across Moulvibazar ahead of the Prime Minister’s visit.
The district administration and law enforcement agencies have strengthened security arrangements and are closely monitoring the venues surrounding the programmes.
