Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has visited the graves of his father, former President Ziaur Rahman, and his mother, former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia, at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the capital.
The premier was accompanied by his wife, Zubaida Rahman. They prayed for the departed souls of Ziaur Rahman and Khaleda Zia.
Later, he paid tribute along with several senior party leaders and cabinet members.
During the visit, he exchanged Eid greetings and shook hands with children and members of the public gathered there.
He later visited Banani Graveyard to offer prayers at the graves of his younger brother Arafat Rahman Koko and father-in-law Mahbub Ali.
Other family members were also present there.
