Prime Minister, Tarique Rahman has attended the Janaza of Munshiganj BNP leader and former State Minister for Health, Mizanur Rahman Sinha at the south plaza of National Parliament building this morning.
A BNP source said, Mizanur Rahman Sinha worked for many years as a treasurer of BNP central committee and was a former convener of Munshiganj district BNP. He announced his retirement from politics in 2020.
However, he returned to politics in 2025 and again took charge as convener of Munshiganj district BNP.
The source added that Sinha's name was included in BNP’s final candidate list for the 13th national parliamentary election, he could not take part due to illness.
However, with BNP nomination, he was elected as Member of Parliament from Munshiganj-2 constituency in 1996 and 2001.
