Prime Minister,Tarique Rahman has directed the concern authorities to assess the feasibility of implementing a monorail system as a cost-effective and efficient mode of public transportation.
He also says, his government is planning to introduce specialized electric buses within the next six months to ensure the safety of female passengers.
Emphasizing women’s security and comfort, the PM stressed the importance of appointing female drivers for these buses to facilitate safe and convenient travel for women.
During a meeting at Secretariat with transport expert Professor Shamsul Haque, the PM outlined several major initiatives aimed at modernizing public transportation and reducing commuter suffering.
