In a prestigious national event, 15 individuals and 5 institutions will receive the Independence Award, the highest state honor in Bangladesh. The awards will be presented at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium By Prime Minister Tarek Rahman.

Former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia is among the posthumous recipients, honored for her role in promoting democracy and advancing women’s education.
Each award includes a gold medal, a cash prize, a replica of the medal, and an official certificate.
The ceremony is expected to highlight national achievements and contributions across multiple sectors.
