Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has called on students to plant at least one tree every year and take proper care of it. He made the appeal while addressing the Primary Education Award Ceremony at Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka.
During the event, the Prime Minister visited exhibition stalls set up by children and interacted with them.
To foster creativity and intellectual development, students from grades three to five took part in competitions including sports, cultural events, subject-based quizzes, Cub Scouting, and debates.
The competitions began at the upazila level and progressed through several stages before reaching the national level.
A total of 2 crore 18 lakh 28 thousand 693. Students from schools across the country participated.
