Pakistan has increased its fuel price once again.

The new price is set to be effective from today across the country.

Petrol now costs around 393 rupees per litre, while high-speed diesel is priced at 399.58 rupees per litre.

The country has raised fuel prices for the second time in recent weeks, citing supply concerns linked to disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz.

Under the new rates, petrol has gone up by 6.51 rupees per litre, while high-speed diesel has increased by 19.39 rupees.

The government has also imposed a new tax of 28.69 rupees per litre on diesel.

However, the tax on petrol has been slightly reduced.

Officials say, the move is aimed at managing fuel shortages caused by delays in oil shipments.
