Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer and Leader of the Opposition Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has warned that "the people's verdict must be respected, and no alternative verdict will be accepted."
He said, if there is any attempt to erase the memory of July, the people of the country would resist it forcefully.
Speaking as the chief guest at the unveiling ceremony of the book July Revolution-2024: In the Context of the Struggle for Freedom at the CIRDAP Auditorium in Dhaka on Tuesday, Dr. Shafiqur also said Jamaat would never bow to hegemonic forces.
