Tomorrow marks the 17th anniversary of BDR tragedy, or Pilkhana carnage day. On this day, 74 people, including 57 army officers, were brutally killed. At the time,2 cases were filed under murder and explosives laws.

However, those alleged to be the masterminds, financiers, and political patrons behind the incident, remained beyond reach. 

Meanwhile, the Chief Public Prosecutor in explosives case,has now stated that, former PM Sheikh Hasina, along with several of her former ministers and top local-level leaders and activists of Awami League, will be made accused in the case.
