Dhaka Metropolitan Police has rolled out multi-layered security measures across the capital.
DMP says, the city remains under round-the-clock surveillance through CCTV monitoring, patrol teams and motorcycle units deployed in neighborhoods and alleyways.
However, the security drive comes amid growing concerns over rising incidents of theft, mugging and violent crime in the capital.
Earlier, Police Headquarters said, special arrangements have been made to protect vacant homes and prevent criminal activities during the Eid break.
Patrol teams remain active on major roads, while local police stations have been instructed to respond immediately to any security threats.
