Parliament election will be announced today. In an address to the nation this evening, Chief Election Commissioner A M M Nasir Uddin will announce the dates for the National Parliament election and the referendum.
After the fall of Hasina’s government on last year through the student–public uprising, the Election Commission is going to announce the schedule for the national election 16 months after the interim government assumed responsibility.
On Wednesday around 4 pm, the CEC’s speech was recorded by Bangladesh Television and Bangladesh Betar.
On the same day, the Chief Election Commissioner, along with the election commissioners, met President Mohammad Shahabuddin at Bangabhaban.
They informed the President about various issues.
Meanwhile, before the announcement of the schedule, the EC has instructed the removal of all kinds of campaign materials.
