An order signed by Senior Assistant Secretary Nusrat Azmeri Haque of the Field Administration Establishment Branch of the Cabinet Division states that, under Government Employees Attendance Rules 2019 and Secretariat Instructions 2024, timely office attendance is mandatory.

However, a report aired on DBC News on March 1 found that until 9:40 am, the Deputy Commissioner and several other officials were not present at the office — which is a clear violation of the rules.

The order directs that action be taken against those responsible and that Cabinet Division be informed of the measures taken.
