Owing to a government decision, printing presses in Birampur of Dinajpur are no longer experiencing the usual hustle and bustle ahead of elections. The employees at printing presses around the Dhaka Morarea are passing time idly, with work at a standstill.
Owing to a government decision over use of posters banned, campaign strategies have changed.
As a result, the familiar scene at Dhaka Mor in Birampur town has also transformed.
Areas that once remained crowded before elections are now largely quiet and deserted.
This situation has put printing press owners and workers in trouble. With little to no work available, employees are spending their days in idleness.
During the previous election, orders for printing nearly 5 lakh posters were received.
This time, the number has dropped to less than half, leading printing press owners to report significant financial losses.
