Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (retd) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has said, the investigation is being hampered due to hundreds of accused names in July genocide cases.
The Home Adviser came up with the statements while visiting Gacha Police Station in Gazipur this morning.
Since the fall of the Awami League government on August 5, cases have started being filed one after another. In some cases, the victims have become the plaintiffs, while in others, the police have become the plaintiffs.
Since then, allegations have found, many people have been implicated in cases for past enmity or extortion, even though, they had no connection with the casees.
Allegation also found that some cases have even been filed showing living people as dead. These issues have come up during the investigation.
