The price of chicken has been increased by 15 to 20 taka per kg within a span of week. Broiler chicken is being sold at tk 220, while shonali chicken is being sold at tk 320 per kg.
According to vendors, the prices of daily commodities are increasing ahead of Eid. Meanwhile, the price of rice has started to increase again. In the last 15 days, the rice price has increased by tk 3 to tk 4 per kg.
Miniket is being sold at tk 80 to tk 96 per kg. The price of seasonal vegetables has also increased.
Brinjal is being sold at tk 80 to tk 100, bitter gourd, cucumber at tk 60 per kg.
However, the price of lemon is tk 100 per kg. Buyers demanded to increase supervision in the market to keep the prices of daily necessities within the reach of the common person.
