Another attempt to push people into Bangladesh was reported today at the Buri-pota border in Meherpur, while five individuals remain stranded along the Kurigram frontier for the sixth consecutive day.

Local sources say, India’s Border Security Force tried to push four people into Bangladesh through the Buripota border, but residents protested and stopped the attempt. 

Meanwhile, five people remain stranded in the no-man’s-land along the Roumari border in Kurigram. 

Earlier efforts to push in nine people were also resisted by BGB members and villagers, leaving several stranded near the border fence.
