A Brahmaputra Express train going from Dewanganj to Dhaka derailed in Mymensingh near Anand Mohan College.
A rescue train sent to recover it also derailed on the way. After about three hours of effort, the main train was recovered and train services on the Jamalpur–Dhaka route have resumed.
Train services on the Jamalpur–Dhaka route were disrupted after the Brahmaputra Express derailed in Mymensingh.
The incident happened near Anand Mohan College when several wheels of the power car went off the track.
A relief train sent for rescue also met with an accident and derailed on the way.
Despite the complications, railway workers managed to recover the main train after around three hours, and services have now started again on the route
