According to the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics, Rangpur Division has the country’s highest rate of food insecurity and malnutrition at 29.53 percent.
Data from the National Institute of Health also shows, 87 percent of patients suffering from malnutrition-related diseases are from this region.
