Jamaat-e-Islami leader ATM Azharul Islam has been released from prison a day after being acquitted of death sentence by the High Court.
Jamaat Ameer, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman came out Bangladesh Medical University with Azharul Islam this morning.
During this time, Jamaat-e-Islam leaders and activists were waiting outside the hospital to welcome him.
Later, he was taken to welcome stage at Shahbagh intersection.
Standing there, he expressed his gratitude to the students and people of July Uprising.
He also expressed hope that all conspiracies would be faced and moved forward.
At the same time, he criticized the injustice of Sheikh Hasina's regime.
