Consumers in Dhaka are finding some relief as prices of broiler chicken and most vegetables have dropped.

Essentials like rice, lentils, and cooking oil remain steady.

A visit to the Khilgaon Taltola market revealed broiler chicken selling at Tk 160–170 per kg, while Sonali chicken is priced at Tk 260–270.

Eggs are retailing at last week's rate of Tk 135–140 per dozen. Prices have fallen across a range of vegetables—pointed gourd, okra, and bitter gourd are available between Tk 40–60 per kg.

Green papaya and green chili are priced at Tk 70–80. Local onions are selling for Tk 55–60, while Indian imports are at Tk 65.

Garlic prices have dipped slightly, now ranging from Tk 140–200 depending on quality, and ginger from Tk 120–180. Lentils, sugar, oil, and rice are holding steady.

Beef remains at Tk 700–780 per kg and mutton at Tk 1,200.
