CPD held a press briefing at its Dhanmondi office on Tuesday to highlight the economic situation. 

They opposed the decision to give dearness allowance to government officials and employees. 

CPD claimed that giving dearness allowance will increase pressure on inflation. CPD executive Director Dr. Fahmida Khatun submitted a written statement there.

In the statement she said, the rate at which revenue is being collected, there could be a revenue deficit of Tk 105,000.
