Even on the third day of Eid, sacrificial animal waste was seen lying on the streets of Narayanganj City Corporation areas.
On Monday morning, garbage heaps were visible at various points along Bibi Road and Nawab Salimullah Road in Narayanganj.
However, sanitation workers assured residents that the waste would be cleared by the end of the day. Around 1100 workers have been engaged in clean-up operations since the afternoon of Eid day.
City authorities claim that the clean up is proceeding faster than in previous years, thanks to improved coordination.
