Tensions between the United States and Iran have escalated further over the Strait of Hormuz, as US forces carried out a second consecutive night of large-scale airstrikes on multiple locations across Iran. Tehran has warned of a strong and decisive response.
The US Central Command -CENTCOM said, the operation was launched under the orders of President Donald Trump and was aimed at degrading Iranian military capabilities that could threaten international shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
In the meantime, Dolanld Trump claimed the strikes were carried out in response to Iran's recent attacks on commercial vessels.
Meanwhile, Iranian state media reported explosions in several southern locations, including Bandar Abbas. Iranian authorities have vowed to respond firmly to the attacks.
