Flood water is receding in Sherpur, Netrakona and Mymensingh. However, the suffering of people in the area has reached an extreme level.
So far 8 people have died in Sherpur due to landslides. In Netrakona, there is no educational activities in 186 primary schools. However, the people of Sherpur have seen sunshine after four days.
Meanwhile, the water level of Maharshi, Somesh-wari, Chella-khali and Bhogai rivers is decreasing since Sunday afternoon. The water is also receding from several high areas of Srivardi, Jhenai-gati and Nalita-bari.
On the otherhand, there is an extreme shortage of food and clean water for the people of flood affected areas.
