Before dawn, the sky over the capital is covered with thick dark clouds, followed by gusty winds and heavy rainfall. The sudden downpour disrupted the daily rhythm of city life from the very beginning of the day.
Although the seasonal Boishakh rains have brought a drop in temperature, they have also caused inconvenience for office workers, students, day laborers, and the general public.
Many faced difficulties reaching workplaces, educational institutions, or other destinations on time, while some were forced to leave despite getting soaked.
Met Office says, this pattern of rain and thunderstorms is likely to continue across the capital and the country for the next week.
