About 89 percent of the third terminal of Shahjalal International Airport has been completed. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will make the soft opening on October 7. Air Vice Marshal M Mofidur Rahman, chairman of Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh said these at a press briefing today.
Civil Aviation Authority , chairman Marshal M Mofidur Rahman said, if everything goes well, the terminal will be fully operational by the end of 2024.
Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh chairman also said that due to rain, the work schedule has been disrupted. He said that after the soft opening, cargo service of the third terminal will be launched in March-April.
Air Vice Marshal M Mofidur Rahman said that a metro rail connection line has been arranged with the terminal in the future and a tunnel has been arranged from the Hajj camp for the Hajj passengers
