Health Ministry is set to administer Vitamin A Plus capsules to 2 crore 40 lakh children across Bangladesh on June 28 under the National Vitamin A Plus Campaign. Children aged between 6 months and 59 months will receive a single dose of Vitamin A capsules to help prevent deficiency-related health problems.
The campaign will run from 8 am to 4 pm, with blue capsules being provided to 11-month-old children and red capsules for children aged 12 to 59 months.
Health authorities said, children who miss the campaign due to any reason will be able to receive the capsules the following day at upazila-level centers, while remote areas will continue the service for four more days.
The Health Ministry has prepared 1 lakh 20 thousand centers across the country, along with 500 additional mobile centers at launch terminals, ferry ghats, railway stations and bus stations. Officials said the capsules will reach all parts of the country by today.
