An initiative has been taken to develop Dhaka as a clean and green city. As part of this plan, 5 lac trees will be planted in the two city corporations over the next five years. PM Tarique Rahman stated this on Wednesday morning during the parliamentary question-and-answer session.
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman also said that the government is placing special emphasis on cleanliness drives and mosquito control programs.
In addition, rapid measures are being taken in areas of the country affected by river erosion.
The Prime Minister further said that immediate steps are being taken in river erosion-prone areas.
He said, the farmers affected by early floods will receive three months of assistance.
The premier also noted that the impact of the Family Card program will not affect the national budget.
