South Africa will take on New Zealand in the first semi-final of the T20 World Cup at 7:30 pm at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The Proteas enter the match unbeaten in the tournament.

South Africa appear stronger on paper and have shown consistent form throughout the competition, with captain Aiden Markram and power-hitter David Miller delivering match-winning performances under pressure.

Their batting depth could pose a serious challenge for New Zealand, who face added pressure in this high-stakes clash. However, the Black Caps possess a disciplined bowling attack capable of turning the game around if used effectively.

Mitchell Santner’s control in the middle overs and Rachin Ravindra’s all-round ability could prove decisive in restricting South Africa’s scoring.

With both sides aiming for a place in the final, the contest is expected to be intense, tactical, and closely fought at one of cricket’s most historic venues.
