The oath ceremony was held at the South Plaza of the National Parliament under the open sky, instead of the traditional venue at Bangabhaban

President Mohammed Shahabuddin administered the oath to Tarique Rahman. Later, 25 ministers and 24 state ministers also took oath.

After a landslide election victory, the new government includes many fresh faces. Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus, advisers, and both local and foreign guests attended the ceremony.

This marks BNP’s return to power after nearly two decades.
