The Tanique Rahman-led BNP government has completed six months in office, facing major challenges in the economy, law and order, energy and reforms.
The government says it remains committed to fulfilling its election promises. Family and Farmer Cards are among its key welfare initiatives, with 4.1 million families expected to receive Family Cards in phases this fiscal year.
The government has also launched canal excavation, tree plantation and agricultural support programs.
However, analysts say many initiatives are yet to become visible at the grassroots level. They also call for stronger efforts to control inflation, improve law and order and tackle economic pressures.
