Princess Bajrakitiyabha has died after spending more than three years in a coma.
Thailand’s royal palace said her condition steadily worsened and she died at Chulalongkorn Hospital at 7:48 p.m. local time on Thursday, aged 47.
The princess collapsed while walking her dog in December 2022.
Doctors later said a mycoplasma infection affected her heart and caused a severe irregular heartbeat.
Princess Bajrakitiyabha also served as Thailand’s ambassador to Austria.
