Iran and the United States are close to reaching an agreement to stop the conflict, according to Reuters. Work on a one-page memorandum proposed by the U.S. is almost complete. U.S. President Donald Trump also said there is a good chance of reaching a deal with Iran.
Sources say that if an initial agreement is signed, full discussions will begin within the next 30 days.
The talks may include restoring normal shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, easing US sanctions on Iran, and placing some limits on Tehran’s nuclear program.
However, a spokesperson for Iran’s influential parliamentary security committee described the proposal as a “wish list” from the United States.
Trump said, talks with Iran had been positive, but warned that military strikes could resume if no agreement is reached.
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson said ,US proposal is still under review as Iran considers ways to end the conflict.
