After four hours of continuous debate, Turkey passed the bill to include Sweden in NATO.
The bill has passed by the Turkish parliament on Tuesday local time.
287 Turkish lawmakers voted in favor of the bill. 55 people were against it.
In addition, four abstained from voting. Now the bill will become law if Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan signs it.
Then there will be no formal obstacle from Turkey to become a member of Sweden's NATO.
Sweden is going to be the 32nd member of NATO.
Earlier, Finland and Sweden moved to join NATO.
