With two matches to spare, Bangladesh have secured their place in the final of the U19 Tri-Nation ODI Series. In their fourth group-stage match, Azizul Hakim Tamim’s side cruised to an 8-wicket victory over Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club.
After losing the toss and being asked to bowl first, the young Tigers delivered a clinical bowling performance to bundle out Zimbabwe U19 for just 89 runs.
Iqbal Hossain Emon led the attack with four wickets, while Sanjid and Swadhin chipped in with two each.
In reply, despite an early setback, captain Azizul Hakim Tamim’s steady 47 ensured a smooth chase. Rizan added an unbeaten 21 as Bangladesh reached the target with ease.
The win takes them to six points from four matches, setting up a final clash with South Africa on August 10.
