In the past two days, around 74 international flights from Bangladesh have been cancelled. However, flights to Saudi Arabia and destinations including Dammam and Jeddah, have resumed.

This has eased the suffering of  passengers traveling to the Middle East.

For security reasons, airlines operating from Bangladesh to Middle Eastern countries suspended their flights, similar to actions taken by other countries.

From the late afternoon of February 28; Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, and Jordan temporarily closed their airspace.

This directly affected operations at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.

As a result of the cancellations, thousands of passengers traveling to the Middle East faced serious difficulties.
