Violent protests have erupted in Albania’s capital Tirana, as opposition supporters demand the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.

Police used tear gas and water cannons to disperse crowds after clashes broke out near government buildings.

 

 

Tension escalated in Albania’s capital Tirana as protests demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama turned violent. 

 

 

Opposition demonstrators clashed with police after marching from the Prime Minister’s office toward the Ministry of Interior. 

 

 

Security forces used tear gas and water cannons to control the situation, while protesters reportedly threw petrol bombs and fireworks. 

 

 

The demonstrators accuse the government of corruption and allowing crime to become part of the state system.
