Nearly six months after Bangladesh's elected government took office, visa problems continue for many travellers.
Although visa services with India have returned to normal, Bangladeshis are still facing difficulties getting visas for several countries.
Visa processing agencies say tourist and work visas for the United Arab Emirates remain unavailable.
They also report that visas for Vietnam are fully suspended, while obtaining visas for Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand has become more difficult.
European countries also continue to maintain strict visa policies.
The State Minister for Foreign Affairs says the government is working to resolve the issue and hopes many of the restrictions will be eased soon.
