Akhtaruzzaman, a US citizen, rented the apartment where the murder took place in a luxurious apartment named Sanjiva Gardens in Kolkata's New Town. The Dhaka Metropolitan Police has named American citizen Akhtaruzzaman known as  Shaheen Mia as the mastermind behind the murder of Member of Parliament Anwarul Azim Anar. According to DB, the murder was carried out by extremist leader Amanullah called Shimul. He is the leader of Galakata Party, East Bengal Communist Party. There are many cases against him including murder in those areas of Khulna, Jessore.

Akhtaruzzaman's home is in Kotchandpur of Jhenaidah, in the area he is known as Shaheen Mia. His brother Sahiduzzaman is the mayor of Kotchandpur municipality.

Three-time Member of Parliament of Jhenaidah-4 Constituency, Annar is the President of Kaliganj Upazila Awami League. On May 11, he went to India for treatment. He first stayed in the house of his friend gold merchant Gopal Biswas in Barahnagar, Kolkata. But disappeared from there. After that, Gopal Biswas filed a GD at the local police station. Investigations began in both countries. On Wednesday morning, Indian media reported that MP Annar was murdered in a house in New Town.

Narrating how MP Anar was killed, Additional Commissioner of Police Haroon or Rashid said, “According to the plan, they rented that house in Kolkata on April 25. It was agreed that they would move to that house on April 30. Accordingly, Akhtaruzzaman Shaheen, Amanullah and Shilasti took a flight from Dhaka to Kolkata on April 30 and boarded that house. They did not want to commit this murder inside Bangladesh, for fear of being caught. Their plan was to go to India and commit murder and come back, they acted accordingly.”

whether or not there was a honey trap, whether the incident stemmed from a political conflict or whether there was a business conflict; Harun, head of DB of DMP, said that everything is being looked into.

During the initial interrogation, Jihad admitted to the police that he strangled  MP with four others including himself in his flat in Newtown on the order of Akhtaruzzaman. Then they separate all the meat from the whole body in the flat and mince the meat and keep it all in polythene packs. Also pack the bones into small pieces. Then the packets are taken out of the flat, using various modes of transport and dumped in Kolkata and surrounding areas.

Why the killers left Bangladesh and chose Kolkata may come out in the investigation. However, analyzing the details of the incident, it is clear that the killers thought that they would not be caught easily if they killed in Kolkata. West Bengal BJP has been claiming for a long time that Mamata Banerjee has made West Bengal a terror land and a safe haven for militants. Due to which criminals are able to easily organize their criminal activities. Another reason to choose Kolkata is the Lok Sabha elections in India. The administration officials will be busy with the elections and they will go on a killing spree. According to the imagination of the murderers , sending various messages from Anar's mobile phone and activating the mobile phone twice in Bihar were the master stokes of their plan. Due to which Akhtaruzzaman easily fled to USA through Nepal during Vistara airlines flight era, these were part of their perfect plan.

Due to the murders outside the country, the question has naturally started to arise whether the regional security of West Bengal is really weak or which gang is sheltering them? The two countries' long-term friendship, friendship and cooperation will crack? Or two countries. Will accept zero tolerance policy for these murderers? Time may give these answers appropriately. Therefore, we should not think about these things and make a correct judgment by uncovering the main secret of the incident.
