Two people have been killed and several others injured in wildfires on Greece’s Salamina Island.
The fires started in Peristeria on the island’s southern coast and quickly spread due to strong winds.
Around 200 firefighters, 50 fire engines, several aircraft and water tankers are working to bring the fires under control.
Two Coast Guard vessels and a Fire Service ship have also been deployed for monitoring and emergency assistance.
Authorities are continuing efforts to contain the fires and protect people in the affected areas.
