The devastating blazes have engulfed parts of three European nations. In southeast of Athens, Greece, one person has died, and hundreds of acres of farmland along with homes have been destroyed.
Authorities said, the dry weather and strong winds are causing the fire to spread rapidly.
The worst-hit area is the Olivia forest, and residents are being evacuated.
The wildfire situation is still not under control. Meanwhile, wildfires have broken out across Italy’s Mount Vesuvius.
In the Campania region, more than two thousand acres have been burned after several consecutive days of fires.
Over a thousand local firefighters are working to extinguish the flames. In Spain, the San Bartolomé de Pinares area has also been badly affected. Rescue operations are underway.
