The Women’s Kabaddi World Cup has been suspended unexpectedly, leaving the Bangladesh federation unaware until official confirmation arrived via email.
Scheduled from August 3–10 in Hyderabad, the World Cup was to feature 14 nations. Bangladesh had already announced a 15-member squad aiming for a bronze finish.
The federation, however, received a cancellation notice only after the team was finalized.
In response, Bangladesh will launch a nationwide kabaddi festival across all 64 districts to promote youth participation in the sport.
