The Prime Ministers of India, Pakistan, and China have expressed deep grief and condolences over the death of Bangladesh’s former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. The European Union has also expressed deep sorrow over her passing.
On social media platform X, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said he is deeply saddened by the death of Khaleda Zia. He also mentioned that she was a devoted friend of Pakistan.
Meanwhile, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on X, “I express deep sorrow at the demise of Bangladesh’s former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia."
Besides, China’s Embassy in Dhaka issued a message of condolence, European Union expressed sorrow on its official Facebook page in Bangladesh.
