The leaders of the Central Committee said, this program is being observed peacefully across the country.

Waji Ullah, general secretary of the Bangladesh Truck Driver Workers Federation said, their demands included revocation of increased income tax imposed on transport owners, obtaining licenses on easy terms and in exchange for government fees, and abolishing harassing fitness tests during renewal of licenses and to stop police harassment on the streets.

Transportation of all types of goods including covered vans from Tejgaon area of the capital has been suspended since morning.
