At least two people have been killed and seven others injured in a road mishap on the Bangabandhu bridge on Sunday.
The identities of the deceased could not be known. The accident took place near Pillar No. 18 in the middle of the bridge.
Police said, a Dhaka-bound Max car overturned on the bridge after its driver lost control over the steering. Soon later, a passenger bus of Shyamoli Paribahan coming from behind hit it hard and the car caught fire.
On information, fire fighting members went to the spot and doused the fire. The injured were rushed Tangail Sadar Hospital.
