Oviedo held Real until the 37th minute, when Mbappé broke the deadlock from an Arda Güler assist.

Despite pushing forward, the hosts failed to respond, and Mbappé struck again in the 83rd minute from a Vinícius Júnior pass.

Deep in stoppage time, Vinícius added a third, set up by Brahim Díaz.

The final whistle confirmed a comfortable 3–0 win for Madrid, who remain unbeaten in the new campaign.
